Me and My Dog: Our Journey

Every dog owner has a story to share and I want to hear about it! Your entry could earn you a free photo session for you and your faithful companion and a free 16×20 storyboard printed on metal which is valued at $195!! Here are all the details:

Who is this contest for?

Anyone that has a dog (or dogs) and is willing to write an essay telling their story may enter.

What is the process?

1. To enter, submit an essay to info@angiekerinsphotography.com telling your story. Please try to keep essays between 300-700 words. Essays must be received by midnight on Sunday, August 10th.

2. I will select 5 finalists from the entrants. Once you are chosen, we will schedule a time during the month of August for your photo session. This will take place on-location and I will use your story to guide our session. This session will be complimentary to you. These photos will be used in conjunction with your written story to create  a storyboard (a compilation of images and/or text to tell a story).

3. Your storyboard will then be unveiled at the Doggie Derby event in Avalon Park, FL on September 20th, 2014 where I will be the event photographer. The event is from 10am-2pm with the unveiling taking place at 9:45am, just before the events of the day begin. This is the first time you will see your story and images in print. The storyboard will be printed on metal, a unique and state of the art print medium complete with mounting hardware installed. If you’ve never seen one of these before, it is a truly stunning way to display your most treasured photographs.

4. Throughout the event, your images will be on display in my booth for patrons to vote on! Bring as many friends and family to the event as you can to boost your votes!! Anyone that attends the event is welcome to vote.

5. Following the event, a grand prize winner will be chosen and you will receive your gorgeous 16×20 storyboard telling the story of you and your beloved comrade to hang in your home for years to come.

Will I be able to view my images before the contest?

The completed storyboard will not be available for viewing until the event date. However, as soon as your session is completed, we will schedule a viewing session where all of your images will be available for purchase should you wish to do so. No purchase is necessary to enter the contest!

What is a metal print?

Instead of printing your images on paper which can warp and fade over time, your images are printed on a piece of metal. Mounting hardware is included. Here are a few sample images.

What if I don’t win, what will happen to my metal print?

In the event that you are not chosen as the winner, you will still have the option to purchase your metal print at a 50% discount! You also will have the option to purchase any additional images from your session. If you choose not to purchase your print, it may be displayed as a marketing piece in various Orlando pet related businesses.
